Company Overview

Barometrix™, formerly ITCentrix, Inc.®, was formed in 1999 with a mission to bring together tools, content and expertise to assist CIO's and IT professionals improve technology adoption.

We began by providing CIO services to evaluate the contribution IT investments make to key business processes. By drawing a link between investments in IT and their impact on metrics such as revenue, productivity, cost savings and stakeholder value, we realized our methods and research could improve virtually any corporate investment, not just IT. In 2003, we undertook an effort to work with some of our clients’ financial and line of business constituents to broaden our scope into the general business community.

From this effort, we developed powerful analytics software but decided to sell the technology in 2006 and exit the software business in order to maintain an unbiased position in the IT research and analysis business.

In 2007, we started The Wikibon Project an open source research and advisory community.
