Announces Priority IQ™ Decision Software
Improves Decisions and
Increases
Initiative Success
Rates Framingham,
MA – Oct 13, 2005 – Barometrix
today announced Priority IQ a new business application
designed to increase the success rate of corporate initiatives
that affect revenue, productivity, profit and shareholder
value. Priority IQ is the first of many applications
planned for release based on the Barometrix Rank
IQ platform, announced
in August, 2005.
Priority IQ allows decision makers to rapidly consider
many factors affecting a decision, and consistently apply
them across a portfolio of initiatives. Priority IQ uses
a proprietary algorithm to rate, weight, score and rank
initiatives based on whatever factors a user wants to consider,
providing multi-dimensional analysis capabilities to identify
initiatives that best meet corporate objectives.
Priority IQ allows customers to increase revenue and
profit through better decision making. Priority IQ
also allows
clients to:
- Bring clarity and structure to decision making
- Foster collaboration
- Facilitate communication
- Provide validation and justification for decisions
- Build consensus so people spend more time doing
- Provide an audit trail of decisions
- Continuously improve decision making over time
How Priority IQ Works
Priority IQ uses a rich framework that includes both financial
and non-financial indicators to support decision-making,
including:
- Financials
a. Cost
b. Benefit
- Risk Profile
a. Internal Risk (Execution)
b. External Risk (Adoption/Market)
- Strategic Fit
a. Financial
b. Internal Processes
c. Customer-facing Activity
d. Learning & Growth
e. Other Strategic Factors
- Benchmarks
- Stakeholder Value
- Prerequisites
Each element shown above contains multiple factors, which
are customizable by an administrator, without any IT programming
required. The elements of this framework are weighed according
to corporate priorities and scores adjusted accordingly.
For example, an organization may place a high value on
financial performance and apply the majority of weight
to financial factors where as another organization may
choose to have a more balanced mix of financial and strategic
factors. Initiative scores will vary by degree of emphasis
placed on each factor, in addition to the ratings of each
initiative against those factors. As
such, scores for each initiative derive from user ratings
of the quality of each initiative and corporate weightings
applied consistently across the entire portfolio. The
results of the user ratings and corporate weights produce
scores,
which produce rankings in various decision-making outputs
including:
- Quadrant and bubble charts
- Side-by-side sorting and rankings
- Detailed viewing and comparison of scores
- Detailed viewing of key performance indicators
- Aggregate portfolio dashboards
Commenting on the announcement,
David Vellante, President and CEO of Barometrix said, “Our team has done an
amazing job with Priority IQ, bringing together high levels
